The
long-awaited Annual
Presidents’ Weekend Winter
Jazz Festival is back, and
this year, we’re “playing
the changes”! Mark your
calendars for February
14-16, 2025, as we unveil an
exciting new chapter at the
Bethesda Marriott, located
at 5151
Pooks Hill Road, Bethesda,
MD. With a new venue,
fresh stages, great food
options, and an upgraded
experience featuring
assigned seating in the main
stage area, this year’s
festival promises to be the
most memorable yet.
Starting
on Valentine’s Day, jazz
lovers will be treated to an
extraordinary lineup of
talent. Featured
performances include Vincent
Herring and Something Else!,
The Tia Fuller Quartet, Ekep
Nkwelle and Cyrus Chestnut,
The Paul Carr Quartet with
Billy Pierce, Geoffrey
Keezer with Gillian Margot,
Carmen Bradford and the
Mid-Atlantic Jazz Orchestra,
The Orrin Evans Super Group,
featuring Orrin Evans, Jeff
“Tain” Watts, Chris Potter,
and Dwayne Dolphin.
This
year also brings heartfelt
tributes and themed
performances, such as,
Sharon Clark’s “Sounds of
Sarah” and a “Tribute to
Benny Golson” by the Paul
Carr Quartet, and more!
Returning
by popular demand are
festival favorites Chelsey
Green and The Green Project
and Grammy Nominee Christie
Dashiell, alongside
electrifying performances
from Keyon Harrold,
Birckhead, and many more.
But
the excitement doesn’t stop
there. With three additional
stages, master classes,
midnight jam sessions, and a
vibrant marketplace of
world-class vendors, the
festival promises to be a
multi-sensory celebration of
jazz and community.
