 2022 Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival February 18 – 20, 2022, President’s Day Weekend, is going to include a sumptuous menu of jazz masters and emerging artists to perform at the Hilton Hotel and Executive Meeting Center, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. This year’s MAJF headliners include: Kenny Garrett, Buster Williams, Tia Fuller, The Baylor Project, Carr Keys (Paul Carr & Marshall Keys), Patrice Rushen, Stefon Harris, Wycliffe Gordon, and a host of other great artists. Also, the MAJF is partnering with the DC Jazz Festival to present the winners of their JazzPrix contest, the Giveton Gelin Quartet and Dayramir Gonzalez & Habana enTRANCè. MAJF ’22 will also introduce a brand new venue, The OVAL! a contemporary jazz stage where headliners will include DMV favorites Marcus Johnson, Lori Williams, Ron Holloway, Chelsea Green, Thad Wilson and Alison Crockett. In addition to MAJF’s traditional non-stop matinee/evening stages & performances, jazz education remains a focal point as we welcome such top college jazz ensembles as Temple University, North Carolina Central University, and Georgetown University. Special guests for our college band performances will include Sean Jones and Lakecia Benjamin.
