Steve Herberman and his trio stretch out over a set of
favorite modern jazz classics and originals ranging in styles, meters and
moods. The unique arrangements and extended improvisation coupled with subtle
group interplay holds the listeners attention. At the root of Steve's playing
is a love of contrapuntal textures, a harmonic approach to improvising and
rhythmic diversity. "Ideals" consists of four new original compositions
and seven standards with a few surprises.

Larry Brown has a brand new CD out entitled "Peace". A top notch jazz
trio recording worthy of your attention features Larry Brown on piano, Kent
Miller on bass, and Greg Holloway on drums. Washingtonian magazine says,
"Larry Brown is a pianist whose rendering of ballads is particularly
moving". Great straight-ahead jazz, reminiscent of the Bill Evans Trio
recordings, as well as Oscar Peterson and Vince Guaraldi Trios. Listen |
